Uganda is a land-locked country found in the Rift Valley area on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake – elevation 1,133m above sea level and the world’s largest tropical lake. While much of the country barely rises above Lake Victoria, the western Nile Valley with Lake Albert – elevation 619m – as its main water body lies well below 1,000m. Contrasting with that are some amazing volcanoes like Mount Stanley (5,110 masl) and the only serious mountain chain in Africa, the Rwenzori Mountains with a length of about 120km long and 65km wide on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

KAMPALA CITY
Kampala is Uganda’s largest city and the country’s capital. People here are very friendly and it is very peaceful city; you’ll get to see tourists walking around in the city even in the early hours of the day. Some of the places that you must tour while in the city are ,The Uganda Museum, the Nommo Art Gallery, the National Theatre, The Rubaga and Namirembe Cathedrals, The Gaddafi National Mosque, the Wamala Tombs, the Bahai Temple and the building of the Parliament of Uganda. LAKE BUNYONYI

Fishing is about the only thing you cannot do here since the area only has lungfish found here, but you certainly enjoy volumes of crayfish fresh from the Lake while staying here at Lake Bunyonyi. UGANDA MARTYRS’ SHRINE
Uganda Martyrs Shrine is located in Namugongo 15 kilometres drive from Kampala central. It serves as a remembrance for the Ugandans from the Buganda Kingdom who died for their faith. The shrine offers the opportunity to learn about the history of Christianity in Uganda. Many Christians from different countries flock the place normally on the 3rd of June every year.
MOUNT ELGON NATIONAL PARK
Mount Elgon National Park and Sipi Falls gives you the best of scenic wonders, Adventure, Hiking, and Biking Abseiling, nature Walks, Birding, Caving, Waterfalls, Hot-Springs, Ancient Rock Paintings. Mount Elgon National Park and the surrounding are the perfect getaway destination away from a busy Kampala.
Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls are a great 3 to 5 day safari destination; both places are also the perfect tie-in with a time in Jinja to a stop-off on the way to Kidepo Valley Park. Mount Elgon the Sipi Falls offer much to the adventure enthusiast but also to those who want to relax and chill.
LAKE MUTANDA
Lake Mutanda offers a variety of things to do and see activities that you will find most enjoyable around or near to the Lake.Lake Mutanda is simply one of the most scenic Lakes in all of Africa. It an amazing and one of the places not to miss in Uganda. There is much you to do and see while staying at Lake Mutanda such as hikes through the hills, even a hike from here into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest at Nkuringo and beyond. BUDONGO FOREST
Budongo Forest is a part of Murchison Falls Wildlife reserve, however many treat is as a separate and pass it by, not knowing what they are missing alot.This is a forest where you can track Chimpanzees and even do the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience called CHEX during off-season.
This is a fantastic birding location and known internationally for its endemic species found here. You can also do Nature Walks in this fores and visit a Catholic Church erected by Polish refugees in World War ll who lived here in a refugee camp. The forest is not to be missed with its chimpanzees, other primates, birds, wildlife is not to be missed.
UGANDA MUSEUM
The Uganda Museum is a one-stop place for a historic tour of Uganda over the years. Different sections in the museum introduce you to nature, culture, technology, tools used by Ugandans over the years and traditional music instruments. Compare the recent technology from the past.
CRAFT MARKETS
There are several craft markets in the city. Some are in permanent locations, whereas others are weekly or monthly markets. Depending on what you are looking for, visit a craft market and purchase a souvenir of Ugandan heritage from prints, to canvas, paintings and postcards. Permanent craft markets include the Buganda Road craft market, the National Theatre craft market and the Uganda Crafts 2000 ltd.
SSESSE ISLANDS
The Ssese Islands are a group of eighty four Islands in Lake Victoria. The Islands are located in the north-western side of the massive Lake Victoria. These Islands are divided into two visible groups; the Bugala Group and the Koome Group. The Bantu people occupy these Islands. Tourism industry is rapidly growing on these Islands with more and more infrastructure being developed. The Islands are among the top 10 best tourist places in Uganda.
